Luka's Italian Cuisine

Before helming the kitchen at Luka’s Italian Cuisine, Chef Luka lived and cooked all over Europe and America, from his native Montenegro to New York City. Though he focuses primarily on the food of Italy and his homeland, Luka incorporates techniques he learned in the many eateries where he spent his formative years. The chef broils freshly delivered scallops and serves them alongside his signature veal Luka, and he eases pasta cravings with fettuccine, gnocchi, and tortellini. Luka’s is BYOB, so patrons can complement their meals with the contents of any bottle, be it wine, beer, or a tiny ship.

We have had the opportunity to share Chef Luka’s amazing dishes time and time again. With each day, we have the pleasure in making your dining experience delightful and memorable.
Thank you for choosing Luka’s Italian Cuisine!

Bern from New York, NY:

Fantastic traditional Italian family style dining experience. There are several great Italian BYOB family run restaurants in the North Jersey area and I would have to put Luka’s as one of my favorite. The pasta and the sauces are flavorful and the service great.

Mare from New York, NY:

I really like Luka’s. Its always busy and the food is good. Every entree comes with pasta, veggies, and salad and delicious bread. We had the cold antipasto (AMAZING.. tasted just like europe), marsala, cardinale, and capuccino cheesecake for dessert. My husband pretty much licked his plate and I had leftovers for lunch! Every ingredient tasted fresh and of great quality. The owner seemed to know every customer and the waiters were outstanding. Very friendly and family oriented place. Highly recommend!

Jade from Wanaque, NJ:

I like this place much, much better in its new location. Much roomier, less noisy, food was delicious and we had great service.

Matt from Ridgefield Park, NJ:

I don’t want you to go here, because I want LUKA’s all for me!!!! No just kidding. Hands down, what makes this place famous is the atmosphere. You know you are in somewhere special when there’s a line outside the door and no one complains, I must have eaten here 100 times and i will go back 1000 more times. Only thing i would say is get there early or late.. it can really get mobbed, but thats because it is the treasure you can rarely find.

A review from Zagat prior to moving to our new location!

The restaurant version of Cheers, this casual Ridgefield Park BYO draws locals with wonderful Italian chow at a moderate price, backed up by friendly, attentive service; the tables are close in the tiny storefront setting and it’s a bit noisy, but that’s why it feels like dinner with the family.
